New study highlights the need for impact-focused biodiversity indicators for extractive companies

Biodiversity indicators are an essential tool for understanding and managing changes in biodiversity. In association with Stuart Anstee and Associates, and funded by the Proteus Partnership, UNEP-WCMC carried out a scoping study to understand the needs and drivers for biodiversity indicators in the private sector.

 

The Oyu Tolgoi Project

 In February 2017 I was invited by the Director of UNEP-WCMC  to be honorary ‘Fellow’ of the Centre. I am very honoured to accept this position and have been collaborating with Annelisa Grigg and her business and biodiversity team on a very important project on biodiversity indicators for the extractive sectors.
